Requisites : You're accurate and know you're way around the forum BBcode tools. Very important : you have time and inspiration to post something each 2 weeks at least.

Tasks : Forumpolice. Control all public forums. Keep topics on-topic, move inapropriate posts to other forums etc.
Requisites : Accurate in your approach of things. Make objective choices. Active on the forum.

Da Joint is a so called 'clan'. Unlike many other clans, we do not play 1 specific game.
In fact, we play any game. There's always a few games which are particularly popular among the clanmembers.
For these games Da Joint has separate boards on the forum. We always play for fun, win or lose makes no difference. In fact Da Joint is a community of gamers and friends. Joining the community might have different preconditions then joining us on a specific game.
Da Joint is very cautious with letting new people in and we like to know WHO we let in. So, if you want to join there's 2 steps to take :
- Read the rules.
- Realize that it's usually wise to hang out with joints on gameservers and our forum so they can get to know u a little, be4 applying. This will give you greater chance of being accepted.
- If you have read the rules and still want to join, contact a recruiter on your favorite game and go to the applications forum to post an application.
We appreciate some basic form of civilisation and social skill of our members. We hate arrogance, flaming and other forms of bad behaviour. We are here to have fun games, and not to prove we are the best. Winning is part of the game as much as losing is, we don't think it's important which of those 2 u do most.
Da Joint does not have many 'rules'.
General (all games)
- U are generally a nice, social person.
- Joining the community takes an application on the forum.
- All joints have a nickname starting with 'joint', whatever you append to this is up to you, as long as the name is not taken it's ok.
- On the forum all joints use their jointname.
- Specific game rules may be implemented if the game requires this.
- DJC is repsonsible for appointing leader(s) for any (new) game DJ might support.
- No cheating and glitch-abuse on whatever game you play !
- Don't leave without saying so and giving a good reason.
- Joints are loyal to the clan. You play for Da Joint, using your jointname and the Da Joint clantag in each game that IS or HAS been supported. No multiclanning allowed ! When u play a non supported game, you may choose another clan or nickname, but we would still reccommend you play for Da Joint on that game too. This would truely show loyalty which we value a lot, and you can even try to recruit new people for this game and have them face the community on the applicationsforum ! Also keep in mind, that in the case Da Joint would start to support that particular game, the rules apply to that game right away !
- In case of doubt, DJC decides what to do.

DJC members have several tasks, which concern LAN parties, finances, website issues, serve as general contact etc.

Vote on whether or not to let people into Da Joint, based on applications that are posted on the applications forum. Applicants need contact a recruiter on their specific game to join, after this they can post an application on the applications forum.
The recruiter that he has spoken to can decide to let the person join on trial base for 1 week. If, after 1 week, no serious objections arise, the person oficially joins DJ.

The reporters keep the news coming. Have the ability to post announcements on the forum, which will make it to the website-frontpage.

Moderate all public forums.

Make sure that no1 breaks any rules on the forum when it concerns signatures (which are text only, and max. 2 lines!). Have ability to change the signature of a member that does not apply with the rules.

Friends of Da Joint. Have access to some of the private forums. Honored guests can join DJ LAN parties as well. Becoming an honored guest is only possible when DJC agree unanimously.

Da Joint is a heavy XFire using clan. It's absolutely one of the best tools available at this moment for clans like our's.
When your clan plays tons of different games, you never knew where to find your clanm8's, but these times are over !
XFire can operate as a normal chatclient, like ICQ and MSN, but also serves as a 'game-finder'. You can view what games your clanm8's are playing and even join the game in 1 click !

Ok here's the story bout this battleclan. I decided to put it here, because it saves me some explaining all the time, when people ask me why are we called this way and why every1 should have a name starting with joint.
Well now ... let's see. It's April 17th 2000, when some Firestorm player (me;-) is bored. He really wants to play a clangame, but his clan (BLW) has few members and the ones it has, are all playing the normal Tiberian Sun and at that time I really wanted to play FS !!! He's been asking some other seemingly nice clans if he could join, but no1 wants him :( That's when he gets the idea to start a new battleclan.
My name at that time was DaJoint1 (inspired by the song ' Da Joint' by EPMD) but i didn't wanna leave the BLW clan, since my best TS friend at that time was the owner of that clan. So now to think of a new clan AND a new name. As many of u know, i like to smoke a big fat 1 every once in a while, so I thought should start some DOPE clan ;-)
April 18th 2000 I created an account Jointzzzz, and thought that Da Joint wouldn't be a bad name for a clan (double meaning of the word Joint) so i created it. My plan was to only allow members who had a weed-related nickname (like bongman, smokeman or whatever) and were pro-legalization of weed. Da Joint was born !!
Now to get some members....I started playing FS using the name Jointzzzz and 1 day I played a friendly 2on2 game. My partner in that game was TWA2. We really got along (and we won) so I asked if he wanted to join my clan, he said yes. I told him to create a weed related nickname...so he did. A few minutes later he came back as......JointTWA !!! Now this is the moment the idea was born to name every clanmember with Joint ;-) Later on JointTWA changed his name to JointSWE.
The second 1 to enter the clan was JointEXZ. This guy (who sadly enough left the clan) was 1 of the best players we ever had and SWE, EXZ and me had a lot of fun games.
At this point all kinds of new people started coming into the clan. I don't remember the exact order, but i do know that these people are some of the first Jointz : JointK2, JointStuf, JointRave, JointUpa, JointTop, JointTHC, JointMuts, JointLuke, JointK666 (co-founder) and JointZsmk. (I might have forgotten some ;-)
Now the clan has come to a point that u can't actually call it a battlclan anymore. We don't restrict ourselfs to 1 game, but play many. Don't be surprised if u see joints on other games. Also we meet eachother regularly on LAN-parties or other occasions, so u might call us a club of friends. This is also the reason we are very cautious with new people.
